Meet the 'Live the Dream' participants: Dekka Adams

Fremantle will welcome 16 Live the Dream participants next Wednesday 18 July when the exciting program, which is proudly supported by Decmil Australia, gets underway.
Live the Dream is a once in a lifetime opportunity for 16 young Australians to become immersed in the culture of the Fremantle Dockers Football Club and ‘live the life’ of an AFL player for five days.
Live the Dream offers participants a rare opportunity to develop skills and behaviours that can deliver long-term benefits to the individual and their local community.
The program runs from 18-22 July and thanks to Decmil Australia, the cost of the program for the participants is free, including meals, accommodation and apparel.
Eight Fremantle Dockers’ players will act as mentors for the boys during the program.
Meet Dekka Adams, one of the lucky young men who has been given the opportunity to ‘Live the Dream’.
Dekka is a 17-year-old from Leichhardt in Sydney who attends Black Wattle Bay Campus and plays footy for our NSW partner club the Balmain Dockers.
He is looking forward to developing his confidence levels on and off the footy field thanks to Live the Dream.
"I would really like to develop my leadership skills to a higher level," he said.
"I think staying with professional athletes will be the experience of a lifetime."
