The popularity of the clubs Johnny ‘the Doc’ Docker Motor Skills programme will see the sessions reach more pre-primary centres in Western Australia this year thanks to the assistance of thirty Notre Dame University students.The club has worked in conjunction with Notre Dame University over the last twelve months on the project but this year along with Fremantle players and Johnny ‘The Doc’ Docker, the new recruits from the Notre Dame University will be out in force across the metropolitan area.The Johnny ‘The Doc’ Docker Motor Skills Programme is designed to introduce simple play activities that promote basic motor skills, communication and social skills with an emphasis on enjoyment.It is also designed to fit into the outdoor play session by introducing young children to play skills through structured learning.The students recently attended a training session on Fremantle Oval, which saw them put through their paces by Community Development Manager David Crute and Johnny ‘The Doc’.The training session worked through the programme syllabus, ensuring the students competency in the programme which they will implement in schools during the school year.The Fremantle Football Club Community Development Programme - in Partnership with Alinta.
