Fremantle’s Stephen Hill and Paul Duffield don’t believe the bye week will hinder the momentum the team gained from the win over Geelong in round 9 and agree it has come at the perfect time.

Both players said the performance against the Cats was close to Freo’s best in 2014.

“I’d say it’d be up there with one of our better performances for the year,” Hill said.

“I though it was some of our best football that we’ve played,” Duffield added.

“We hadn’t been very consistent so far, so it was great the way we got it done.”

Hill and Duffield welcomed the bye week.

“We’ve had a pretty tough schedule to start the year, so I think the bye has come at a good time,” Duffield said.

“We’ve just got to make sure we’re really professional over the break and come back fresh and ready to go into the next game against the Western Bulldogs.”

Both players said they would use the bye week to recharge.

“I won’t be doing much,” Hill said.

“I’ll just hang around home and take it easy for a bit.

“Then we’ll get back into training next week and get ready for the Bulldogs.”

“I’ll go away for a couple of days and escape the bubble a little bit and come back ready to go,” Duffield said.
