Fremantle Docker Brady Grey finished last season with a debut against Port Adelaide in round 23 and while shoulder surgery has hampered his pre-season, the young utility is confident his hard work will be rewarded.
“The body’s been really good, I had a bit of surgery in the off season on my shoulder, and got back in the main squad last week,” Grey said.
“As the body adjusts to the pre-season it gets a bit easier but the running gets tougher.
“I’m still adjusting to the training loads but I’ve done the work over the break so hopefully I’ll reap the rewards.”
Despite his increased workload in the pre-season, Grey found time on his day off on Thursday to catch up and have a bit of fun with the children of the “Uni Camp for Kids” organisation.
“It’s really important for these kind of kids who’ve had difficult times in their lives,” he said.
“The kids are all having fun and it was good to kick the footy with a few of them.
“It’s a really good opportunity for them to get out and have a bit of fun, Tommy (Sheridan) and I have really enjoyed it.”
