Our Hayden Ballantyne has been nominated for the AFL Goal of the Year for his brilliant running goal in the third quarter of Sunday’s game against GWS.

You can vote here for his effort that sent the Patersons Stadium crowd into a frenzy.

‘Ballaz’ marked the football on the wing and decided to take on his opponent, Zac Williams. He clicked into top gear, bounced the ball twice, and calmly finished off his great run with an inspiring goal. Williams had given everything he had to catch the pocket-rocket, but he was left floundering on all fours.

This could be Ballantyne’s second goal of the year win, following a similar gut-busting effort in round 2, 2011, against Geelong at Patersons Stadium that won him the prize, but he’ll need your help again.

Vote for ‘Ballaz’ here.
