In the latest episode of Old Bull, Young Buck, David Mundy, Griffin Logue and Caleb Serong all discussed one of the highlights of Fremantle’s win against Sydney when Josh Treacy kicked his first AFL goal.
Treacy picked the perfect moment to break through, booting his first major on the run from outside 50 to give Fremantle the lead in the final term.
Serong said he was initially slightly annoyed to see Treacy go for goal.
“I was right next to him screaming for the handball receive,” Serong said.
“He just didn’t even look at me and dobbed it. I was getting thirsty.
“It was a great moment, I think we (re-watched) some vision of it in the team meeting.
“To see all the boys get around him when he’s dobbed it from 55 metres post-height, it was pretty special.”

Logue said he gave up at the last moment to join the pack of Fremantle players celebrating the moment with Treacy, saying he had bigger issues to deal with playing on Sydney’s Lance Franklin.
“I ran all the way from full back and was just about to pat him on the head and said ‘maybe I should get back’,” Logue said.
“There’s actually some vision where he just gives a wink. It was all we needed. Myself and ‘Cohuna’ (Treacy), we have a good relationship.”
“It’s nice to see him get on the board, he’s got a bright future,” Mundy added.
