Hayden Ballantyne is continuing to write his own story after his 3-goal performance in the opening round against Collingwood last Friday night, according to Fremantle coach Ross Lyon.
The small forward put last year’s Grand Final performance behind him after delivering his high-pressure trademark football at Etihad stadium.

Ross Lyon told 6PR on Monday night he was impressed with Ballantyne's ability to involve others and work hard.
“He’s more than just an opportunist goal kicker,” he said.
“He’s a team driver and a leader with his team man ship.”
The Fremantle coach said Ballantyne continues to grow his football.
“Everyone tries to write a story, they either write you up or write you down,” Lyon said.
“Hayden wrote his own story down in the WAFL, he won the (Sandover) medal and he wrote his own story playing AFL football.
“So he just continues to do that with his hard work and team man ship.
“He’s so mentally tough.
“He won’t be perfect but we love what he brings to the table.” He said
