New dad Aaron Sandilands made his first 2013 pre-season appearance at Fremantle Oval this morning.

Sandilands, who turns 30 this Thursday, had a delayed start to pre-season training after the birth of his first child, Sloane last Monday.

He trained with the main group, on his first day back taking part in run throughs and light skill drills.

Cam Symonds, Alex Howson, Callum Sinclair, Nick Rodda and Matthew Tabener, who were invited to train with the club leading into the AFL Rookie Draft, also joined in with main group.

They were matched up against some of the clubs leading forwards in a full oval training drill.

Experienced forward Chris Mayne offered some advice to the five WAFL players during the drill.

Ross Lyon kept a watchful eye on the group, making them accountable for any mistakes by offering push-ups as punishment.

The players will split into groups this afternoon to complete their weights sessions in the gym.
