#40 Starlight success
Our Starlight Purple Haze Game tends to draw plenty of smiles each year, and 2019 was no different after a six-point victory over the Saints in round three.

#39 #Mundy3hundy
Becoming just the second player in Fremantle’s history to reach the 300-game milestone, David Mundy and his three kids, Hudson, Finn and Edie led the team out in our round six game against the Western Bulldogs.

#38 Rory’s return
Now a Freo man, Rory Lobb led the team out alongside skipper Nat Fyfe to face his old side Greater Western Sydney in what was soon to be a historic win for the club at UNSW Oval in Canberra.

#37 Welcome to Optus
With a rockstar-like entry to Optus Stadium, Freo's number one ticket holder Richard Walley led the team out for the Sir Doug Nicholls match in round 10, before performing Welcome to Country in the middle of the ground

#36 A ‘Turbo’ boost
An inspirational, and no doubt emotional, return for Kiara Bowers lifted our girls to a come-from-behind four-point win over Melbourne in round one. A marquee signing for us in 2016, Turbo had a horror run with injury, undergoing two knee reconstructions. But her determination and commitment never wavered throughout her rehab, as Turbo made her debut in style collecting 13 possessions, 12 tackles and kicking a goal.

#35 Won and lost in 60 seconds
This one hurt. After an up and down final quarter in what was an overall tight contest against the Blues, we trailed by four-points with under two minutes left on the clock. As the ball entered our forward line, Sam Switkowski managed to crumb a loose ball and snap what was thought to be the match-winner with a minute to go. As play reset in the middle, Carlton managed to push forward where, with 30 seconds left on the clock, Marc Murphy turned hope into despair with a match-winning snap on goal.

#34 Throwback to ‘95
To acknowledge our 25th season in the AFL, we decided to bring back the retro ‘anchor’ style guernsey for retro round against Essendon at Optus Stadium in round 22. It was a call back to our first-ever home game, which was played against the Bombers at the WACA in round two of 1995.

#33 Carter makes history
In round 20 we pulled off one of our more memorable wins of the season against Geelong at home. The win capped off a dream debut for Next Generation Academy prospect Jason Carter, who became the first AFL player to hail from his hometown of Wyndham as well as our first NGA signing to debut.

#32 Fyfe’s dominance
Polling three votes in a losing side, Nat Fyfe showed his power against the Hawks in round 17. After Hawthorn kicked the first five goals of the match, the captain decided to take matters into his own hands, moving forward and kicking three majors in the second term to try and lift his team.

#31 25 years
To commemorate a very special 25 years in the AFL, a unique 25-year club logo was designed and featured on the front of our playing jumpers for our first AFL game at Optus Stadium for 2019.
