It was an epic battle, one for the ages and now the coaches have had their say on who won the grueling bout between Nat Fyfe and Patrick Dangerfield.
The pair went toe to toe in Freo’s tight 11-point win over Adelaide on Saturday at Adelaide Oval.
Fyfe received the maximum 10 votes and Dangerfield eight votes in the AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year.

It brings Fyfe’s tally to a staggering 78 votes from a possible 90, 27 points clear on top of the leaderboard.
Fremantle’s Aaron Sandilands, who set an AFL/VFL record for hit-outs, received four votes and Michael Walters got three votes.
