Michael Barlow’s beautiful goal from the boundary has earned him a Coates Hire Goal of the Year nomination.
Barlow’s goal was extra significant given it was in the final quarter of a close contest and in slippery conditions at Adelaide Oval.
He managed to dodge one Adelaide player before slotting a banana goal from 30m out on an acute angle, close to the boundary.
Eddie Betts (Adelaide) and Steve Johnson (Geelong) were the other Round 9 nominations.
