Fremantle has confirmed their extended squad for Sunday’s Round 4 clash with the Western Bulldogs, naming Will Brodie, Jaeger O’Meara, Liam Reidy and Corey Wagner as four potential inclusions.
O’Meara has been named in the midfield alongside Matthew Johnson and Nathan O’Driscoll on the wings after being a late withdrawal from the RAC Derby due to illness.
Brodie, Reidy, and Wagner have all been named on the extended bench, alongside Bailey Banfield, Isaiah Dudley, Neil Erasmus, Jeremy Sharp and Karl Worner.
James Aish, who came on in the RAC Derby as the substitute, is the only omission from the squad.
As announced earlier today in Justin Longmuir's media conference, veteran Nat Fyfe is unlikely to feature in any level of football this weekend due to knee soreness, while Sean Darcy will play his first match minutes for Peel Thunder in the WAFL.
Hayden Young will also line up in the WAFL after returning from a hamstring injury.
Fremantle co-vice-captain Andrew Brayshaw has been named in the midfield ahead of his 150th career game, lining up alongside Caleb Serong and Luke Jackson in the ruck.
Brayshaw will become just the 23rd player in Fremantle history to play 150 career games for the Club and will be one of only four active players on the 2025 list to have reached the milestone.
Brayshaw averages 23.27 disposals, 4.54 tackles, and 3.36 marks across his 11 career games against the Bulldogs.
If named in the final team, Sharp will also play his 50th career game on Sunday. The 23-year-old has been a constant feature in the side, playing every game for Fremantle since making his Club debut in Round 1 of 2024.
Fremantle has won two of the Club’s last three matches against the Bulldogs at Optus Stadium, including the thrilling Elimination Final win in 2022.
Fremantle’s final team will be named at 2.00pm WST on Friday 4 April at fremantlefc.com.au.
The tactical substitute will be confirmed one hour before bouncedown on Sunday.
