Five Fremantle stars have been named in the 2015 Virgin Australia All Australian Squad.

Lachie Neale, David Mundy, Garrick Ibbotson, Stephen Hill and Nat Fyfe were among 40 players nominated on Tuesday.

Fyfe is the only Fremantle player nominated this year to have previously been named All Australian (2014).

Fremantle is one of just five clubs to have five or more players named.

#ForTheFinals

The 40-man squad will be reduced to a final 22 on Tuesday 22 September in Melbourne.

The All Australian selectors were not asked to nominate the leading players in each section of the field - forwards, defenders and midfielders / ruckmen – but simply to name the best players of the season.

The final 22 will be selected to best-fit team balance as if to play a match.
