The Purple Hands Foundation, Fremantle Dockers and WA All Abilities invite fans to participate in the third annual Hand in Hand Crossing for Inclusion this Sunday ahead of Fremantle’s Round 4 clash with the Western Bulldogs.

As part of the lead up to the Purple Hands Foundation game in Round 9, the third annual Hand in Hand Crossing for Inclusion will take place with members of the WA community to cross the Matagarup Bridge together, to help shine a light on disability inclusion in sport and across the community.

AFL legend, FightMND Co-Founder and 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher AO will lead the way as this year’s special guest, adding to the event’s meaningful impact.

The Crossing will commence at 12.30pm, from the west end of the Matagarup Bridge along Sailani Avenue, adjacent to Gloucester Park, and will conclude at Optus Stadium at 1.20pm.

With over 1000 attendees last year, the Crossing serves as a powerful symbol of unity, celebrating diversity and reinforcing our community thrives when everyone has the chance to shine.

As an event that aligns closely to Purple Hands Foundation’s values, Fremantle’s charitable organisation has thrown its support behind the Crossing from its inception in 2023.

Purple Hands Foundation aims to help young people overcome barriers to unlock their true potential, instilling important life skills and behaviours using the power of sport, so no one is left behind.
