One of WA’s favourite holidays spots has turned purple #ForTheFinals.
Rottnest Island is gripped in purple fever.
Thousands of visitors during the AFL finals will be greeted by a giant Fremantle #ForTheFinals banner on the island’s sea wall.
The Rottnest Island Authority is also showing its support by raising the Fremantle colours on its main flagpole.
The Visitors Centre is filled with purple balloons and streamers to greet Freo fans as they arrive on the island.
Even the island’s top cop, Sgt Graham Bond, a self-declared Freo fanatic, is condoning the purple spree.
The school is decorated purple, with all students proudly supporting Freo.
Businesses across the island have turned purple #ForTheFinals including the 'Pedal and Flipper' hire shop.
Programmed, who are proud major sponsors of the club will have flags flying from their vehicles.
Rottnest Fast Ferries is also flying Freo’s flag on its ferries.
