Fremantle rookie Brent Connelly has changed WAFL clubs.

After initially playing for West Perth this season, Brent has transferred to Perth.

The Fremantle Football Club's General Manager of Football Operations, Robert Shaw, said the joint decision would give Brent the best opportunity to play senior football and further his playing career.

"It was an amicable decision reached by all parties involved, including West Perth, Perth and the WAFL, working in a professional manner to achieve the best result for Brent and his football future," he said.

A promising ruckman and key forward, Brent was selected by Fremantle with its first selection (No. 6 overall) in the 2007 NAB AFL Rookie Draft. A consistent tap ruckman and smart leading forward, the 19-year-old was originally recruited from Gippsland Power.
