Leaving their tickets at home for Freo’s game against the Crows on Sunday worked in favour of Freo fan Neil Alweyn who attended the game with his son Zac was the millionth fan to enter Optus Stadium.
The father and son duo who are in the middle of moving house, realised 15 minutes into the journey to Optus Stadium they had left their membership passes at home.
“It seems to be destiny that we forgot our tickets. We had to drive back home to get them,” Neil said.
Neil and his eight-year-old son Zack attend the footy with fellow Freo members and best mates Ben and Jaxon Hobbs. All four fans received a free upgrade to the Premiership Terrace and food vouchers for Sunday's game.

Neil, Zac, Ben and Jaxon will also receive four tickets to an event of their choice at Optus Stadium plus four vouchers worth $55 each for the City View Café.
“Ben and I have known each other for a long time, our kids have gone through mothers’ group together,” Neil said.
“It’s a game day ritual to come all together we train in together. Hopefully the four of us come to the footy together for many more years to come.”
