Scans have confirmed that Harley Bennell has re-injured the calf in his right leg.
Bennell had an ultrasound due to calf soreness he experienced towards the end of Tuesday’s training session which showed no abnormalities.
General manager of football Peter Bell said that an MRI Bennell had on Wednesday, and a subsequent report confirmed the injury.
“Unfortunately, the MRI confirmed that Harley has re-injured his right calf,” Bell said.
“Harley will be further assessed in the coming days to determine a return to playing date.”
Prior to the setback, Bennell had been on track to return to playing in two weeks.
