Jordan Clark faced the media on Thursday morning, proclaiming his excitement to play more games alongside 'superstar' Nat Fyfe this season.

Since joining Fremantle from Geelong ahead of the 2022 season, Clark has only played 16 games alongside Fyfe across his two seasons at the Club, something that the 23-year-old defender is looking to increase.

“The way he’s gone about it this pre-season, it’s really exciting to be around,” Clark said.

“I remember when I came home (to Perth), I sat in Fyfey’s house and we had a coffee, I just told him how excited I am to play with him because of what he can do and the type of player he is.

“Unfortunately, he hasn’t got the body right so far…He always reminds me we haven’t played many games together.

“He seems to be back to the Fyfey of old...I’m just stoked to get to run out there with him as many times as I can over the next couple of years.”

Clark went on to explain the impact Fyfe’s experience is having on the development of the Club's younger players as Fremantle heads into the 2024 season with the fourth-youngest team by average age.

“He is a superstar of the game, and those blokes have so much knowledge and stuff to give,” the defender said.

“You can learn so quickly from them.

“I think that all the young mids and young players at our Club would be silly not to delve into his knowledge and try get on the back of him and learn as much as you can.

“The way he leads that line with the younger boys around him, and similar to James Aish, he’s a bit of a cool head with more experience, a bit of a problem solver.

“His knowledge of the game and to be able to pass it on and help those boys to learn firsthand is amazing.

“He’s been very important to us.”
