Fremantle’s top draft pick Darcy Tucker has revealed the surreal moment when he answered a call from Fremantle captain Matthew Pavlich.
 
“He (Pavlich) gave me a call within the first couple of days of getting drafted,” Tucker said.
 
“It’s quite surreal to answer a call like that.”

Tucker, who was taken at pick 27 in Tuesday’s NAB AFL Draft said it would be a privilege to call players such as Pavlich, a team mate.
 
“Pavlich has been a great of the game for years,” he said.
 
“He is a great leader.

“Seeing what Nat Fyfe did last year…he seems like a professional bloke, a leader and a champion on the field.
 
“It will be quite surreal training next to them.
 
“I am just going to be a sponge and learn as much as I can.”
