Fremantle have confirmed their final team of 23 to take on Richmond in Gather Round with Sean Darcy, Hayden Young and Sam Switkowski the three inclusions.

Hayden Young returns to the AFL side and has been named in the centre after featuring for Peel Thunder in the WAFL last week, where he amassed 19 disposals and kicked three goals.

Young averages 25.8 disposals and has kicked four goals across his three career meetings with Richmond—his best figures against any AFL club.

Darcy has been named in the ruck for the first time in 2025 after recovering from both knee and ankle injuries over the off-season.

Sam Switkowski is the final inclusion and has been named at half-forward alongside Michael Frederick and Shai Bolton. The 28-year-old injured his groin in the Round 1 loss to Geelong and has since spent three weeks on the sidelines.

Bailey Banfield, Isaiah Dudley, Matthew Johnson, Jeremy Sharp and Karl Worner have been named on the bench.

Bolton, also named at half-forward, will face his former side for the first time since being traded to Fremantle in the off-season.

Co-vice-captain Caleb Serong is in sizzling form, averaging 29.8 disposals for the season and coming off back-to-back games with 35+ disposals. He averages 27.5 disposals per game across his career against the Tigers—his fifth-highest against any club.

James Aish, Oscar McDonald and Liam Reidy have been named as the emergencies for Sunday.

Fremantle have never played at Barossa Park before but have won their last two encounters with Richmond by 51 and 54 points respectively.

The tactical substitute will be confirmed one hour before bounce down on Sunday.

Sunday’s Gather Round clash will bounce down at 10:35am WST and will be broadcast live on Channel 7 and Fox Footy, and streamed live on Kayo and 7plus.
