Eleven Fremantle-listed players were in action for Peel Thunder in the WAFL as the side suffered a 49-point loss to South Fremantle.
Cooper Simpson: Delivered another impressive performance in his new half-back role. Simpson had 28 disposals, 24 of them kicks, which he used well to find teammates coming out of defence.
Quinton Narkle: One of Peel’s standout performers, Narkle continued his strong form with a game-high 31 disposals, nine marks, four inside 50s, two tackles and a classy goal on the run at the start of the final term.
Neil Erasmus: Built his performance over the course of the game, working his way into it to finish with 28 disposals, seven tackles, six marks and five inside 50s.
Nat Fyfe: Started strongly with six disposals but unfortunately injured his hamstring and did not return after the quarter-time break.
Will Brodie: Struggled to get his usual ascendancy on the game, finishing with 14 disposals and three inside 50s.
Hugh Davies: Peel’s defence was under siege for much of the game, but the 20-year-old key defender held firm and competed hard all day. He collected 20 disposals and impressed with his aerial ability, claiming a game-high 12 marks.
Jack Delean: Was lively in Peel’s forward line and industrious around goal, finishing with 13 disposals and kicking one of Peel’s four goals for the day.
Oscar McDonald: Was swung forward but was starved of opportunity, with Peel only managing 36 inside 50s for the game—22 fewer than South Fremantle. McDonald had six disposals and three marks for the day.
Ollie Murphy: Continued to show his development with some key one-on-one wins over his direct opponent. Murphy finished with 12 disposals and eight marks across the backline.
Liam Reidy: Enjoyed his return to the main ruck role, dominating on the day with a game-high 45 hitouts.
Aiden Riddle: Similar to McDonald, Riddle continued to develop his craft as a forward but was ultimately starved of opportunities. He finished with five disposals and five hitouts.
