The Fremantle players are still getting used to life near the top of the ladder, just ask key forward Rory Lobb.
After six years out of finals, Fremantle had gotten used to the early afternoon time slots on their away trips, meaning players haven't had to wait long after waking up in their hotel rooms to head to the game.

Freo’s 7.25pm bouncedown against St Kilda was Freo’s latest game on a travel trip since 2019 and Lobb found himself at such a loss of what to do, he dyed his hair strawberry blonde.
“I’m regretting it now! I was sitting around the hotel and I didn’t know what to do, I just wasted some time by dying the hair,” Lobb said.
“It was spur of the moment, we had all day sitting at the hotel and I got a little bit bored.”
Lobb spoke about how proud he was of his teammates after Freo's 41-point win against St Kilda at Marvel Stadium, especially the versatile Griffin Logue, who switched back to defence due to the late withdrawal of Alex Pearce.
Max King looked like he was ready for a day out against Freo’s undersized defence with the first goal of the day, but the 202cm St Kilda star was limited by Logue and Brennan Cox to just two majors for the game.
“I love him playing forward with me, he really gives me a little bit more freedom but his versatility…he goes back and plays a role and Brennan Cox was unreal with him,” Lobb said.
“We really didn’t play our footy in the first half, we were able to scrap and stay in touch with them. They threw everything at us, it’s just great by the boys, the mids got on top in the centre in the end and gave the forwards a good look.”
Lobb had two goals himself and praised Nat Fyfe and Michael Frederick, who had three each. Freo ended up with seven multiple goalkickers for the day.
“It doesn’t matter who is kicking the goals, Fyfey pops up, Frederick kicked three as well,” Lobb said.
“We’re just playing selfless roles within the team and having a really good pressure and method.
“The game these days is built off pressure so we’re really focused on that.”
