Senior coach Justin Longmuir has confirmed there are no concerns with Nat Fyfe’s fitness, with the captain being cleared by scans on his foot during the week.
Not only did Fyfe play through the soreness against Sydney, he put in one of his toughest efforts in recent memory with 13 clearances from his 27 disposals as well as kicking the game-winning goal.
Longmuir said Fyfe was set to travel to Adelaide to take on the Power on Sunday.
“(Nat’s) pulled up really well,” Longmuir told 7NEWS.
“It’s probably something he’s struggled with in the past couple of weeks and he’s managed to get through training and get through games really well.
“We’ll just manage him and he’ll be right for this week.”
Fellow gun midfielder Andrew Brayshaw will be a likely in as he looks to return from a minor calf injury.
“Obviously he was touch and go (to play against Sydney) and he’s run really well today,” Longmuir said.
“As long as he gets through (main training) we’ll bring him back into the side.
“It was a really minor calf injury and really precautionary. We’ll welcome him back.”
Fremantle are less confident Matt Taberner, with the key forward dealing with a sore ankle.
He was subbed off in the third quarter against Sydney and replaced by Connor Blakely.
“He’s 50/50, that ankle is sore but improving every day,” Longmuir said.
“He’s really important to us, we’ve got an eight-day break, so we’ll give him every opportunity.”
Defender Alex Pearce will continue getting his minutes up at Peel when the Thunder take on Subiaco at Leederville Oval on Saturday.
In his return from injury, Pearce played a half of football against West Perth last Saturday and came off as a precaution.
“No it’s not (serious), it’s a really good result. He just got sore over that old (ankle) injury,” Longmuir said.
“It looks like it’s just some pain that he’s going to have to deal with at this stage, he’ll be right to play this weekend.”
