Thirteen Fremantle players were in action for Peel across the weekend in the league and reserves competition.

Eleven players made the trip to Pingelly to take on South Fremantle at Pingelly Oval.

Darcy Tucker and Brandon Walker remained in Perth to play in the reserves.

Player stats v South Fremantle

Development coach Adam Read runs through how they all fared.

Connor Blakely
Connor played as an inside midfielder. He was really active around the contest and was very involved at ground level. He used his big body as well as he could with 25 disposals for the day.

Taylin Duman
Taylin played in defence and looked to use his roll-off marking and foot skills to help Peel bounce out of the backline. He had a big challenge up against a good South Fremantle forward line.

Stefan Giro
Stefan played on the wing and held his width really well. It’s a big ground at Pingelly Oval and he looked to use his endurance to his advantage and used his left foot to get Peel’s ball movement going from D50 to inside 50.

Liam Henry
Liam played a number of roles including high forward, deep forward and on the wing. He was really good around the contest and used his good pre-season to get some separation on his opponents. He kicked 1.1 and could have kicked a couple more.

Luke Valente
Luke played as an inside mid and had 15 disposals and seven marks. He looked good around the contest and in the stoppages. Most importantly, it was good to see Luke get a game of league footy that he can build from. It was his first league game since 2019 so we’ll look to get some continuity into him.

Sam Sturt
Sam played forward and kicked 2.1. He probably could have had a few more shots on goal but he was selfless and dished a few off. He looked to expose his opponent with his speed and try and get some open space. He also took a nice mark on the outer side.

Joel Western
Joel played as a high forward with some stints on the ball. He was really clean, got into some good spots and crumbed really well. He also showed everyone his explosive pace by kicking a three-bounce 100m goal. Overall, it was a good game for Joel.

Nathan O’Driscoll
Nathan played down back. After three games for Peel, he’s showing some real signs of improvement with his defensive work. He’s a real competitor who fights tooth and nail. He’s looking better off from getting more games and is trending well.

Lloyd Meek
Lloyd played in the ruck where he was really dominant with the hitouts and was good around the contest. He was able to sneak forward and kick a couple goals as well. It was a really good performance for him coming back to the WAFL and he did what he needed to do.

Bailey Banfield
Bailey played as a forward. When he got his opportunity he competed hard. He was fierce at the man and the ball and used his big body in and around the contest. He kicked 0.2 but it could have easily been a two or three goal day.

Leno Thomas
Leno played back. He had a big challenge playing on Cody Ninyette, who has been in form early this season and they had a good tussle. It was a good challenge for Leno playing on a good small forward and he fought all day.

RESERVES
Darcy Tucker
Darcy played as an inside mid on limited minutes. He found plenty of the ball with 32 disposals and showed good leadership. Most importantly, we're just really happy to get some minutes into him and for him to get through.

Brandon Walker
Brandon played half back and it was good to just get some minutes into him after he had a concussion a fortnight ago. It was his first full game of the year after coming off in the second quarter against East Fremantle. He showed some dash off half back and looked to use his speed as his main weapon. He’s one that is still at the beginning of learning his defensive craft and is showing signs of some things to come.
