Sharon Bristow of Karrinyup, the lucky winner of Fremantle’s Community Goals Raffle, drove away with a Hyundai i20 including Freo Dockers’ number plates after accepting the prize from DVG Hyundai Melville at Freo headquarters.

DVG Hyundai’s Group Manager Public Relations, Rick Morcom was on hand to present the vehicle to Sharon, whose brimming smile displayed her elation at taking home the award-winning new Hyundai i20.

The car has been awarded Australia's best light car for under $20,000, and is available through DVG Hyundai, in Melville.

Sharon was in Karratha when the club contacted her to inform her she had won the car.

“I was so excited because I’d never won anything before,” she said.

“I’d like to thank Rick Morcom and DVG Hyundai, the Fremantle Dockers and the club’s Community Goals. I think it’s an amazing program, getting kids off the sofa and onto the sports ground.”

Morcom said DVG Hyundai was “always happy” to give away the vehicle just to see the smile on the winner’s face.

“It goes well with our support of the Fremantle Dockers,” he said.

“I’m sure Sharon will love the new car.”

“It’s a great sponsorship arrangement and we’re really pleased to see the team kick on so well this year.”

Morcom also gave Sharon a bonus, offering her two seats to DVG’s corporate box at a Fremantle Dockers home game in 2013.

The proceeds of the Community Goals Raffle, which was drawn on 2 October by senior coach Ross Lyon, will assist in the funding of school and community based programs, via the Fremantle Dockers Football Club's Community Goals.
