Fremantle will welcome back Byron Schammer and Brett Peake for Sunday's Round 19 clash with Port Adelaide at Subiaco Oval.

Schammer has missed Fremantle's last three games with a calf injury, with Peake missing last week's game against the Bulldogs due to an ankle injury.

Luke McPharlin will miss another week with his calf injury, while Zac Clarke and Marcus Drum have been named on an extended interchange bench to take on the Power.

Fremantle has been forced to make at least one change this week for Hayden Ballantyne, who had his forceful front-on contact charge upheld by the AFL tribunal during the week. He will miss two matches.

Drum is coming off a solid defensive game for Perth and Clarke travelled as the team’s emergency for last weekend’s game but both players join Matt de Boer, Scott Thornton, Clancee Pearce, Byron Schammer and Michael Walters on the extended interchange.

Senior Coach Mark Harvey said despite not being selected for this weekend McPharlin had not suffered a setback.

“McPharlin's not too far away," Harvey said.

"Calf injuries tend to take their time and if you bring them back too early then you run the risk of it being long-term."

McPharlin is sitting on 148 AFL games, two shy of his well-deserved 150 game milestone, which he is expected to reach sooner rather than later this season.
