West Coast have selected trade acquisition Jamie Cripps to make his debut in Saturday’s Carlton Mid Derby at Patersons Stadium.

Cripps arrived at the Eagles from St Kilda after two seasons and 16 games, has impressed through the pre-season and was among the club’s best in the final round of the NAB Cup against Port Adelaide in Alice Springs.

Star forwards Kennedy and Mark LeCras have also been selected.

Andrew Embley has also been named after recovering from a pre-season hamstring tringe suffered in the first round of the NAB Cup.

Utility Brad Sheppard, forward Ashton Hams and ruckman Scott Lycett have all been given early opportunities.

Lycett has played three games in his first two seasons at West Coast and will support all-Australian ruckman Dean Cox in the absence of Nic Naitanui.

Matt Rosa (thigh), Sharrod Wellingham (ankle), Mark Nicoski (hamstring) and Daniel Kerr (knee) have all been ruled out with injury.
