Watch out for… Essendon skipper Jobe Watson inside the packs. Ryan Crowley says the 2012 Brownlow Medallist is a tough man to stop from getting the football, so it will be interesting to see if Ross Lyon sends his master tagger to Watson, or continues with the strategy of stopping an outside player such as Brent Stanton, who Crowley tagged last time the teams met.

Crowley’s eyes not just on Jobe

Watch out for… Essendon's high-possession ball movement. It's been likened to Mark Thompson's style when at Geelong, so it will be imperative for Freo to bring its brilliant team defence to the dance on Sunday. An effort similar to the one dished out against Hawthorn will make it a bleak afternoon for the home team.

Final 22 named for Bombers clash

Watch out for… Freo's forward tactics. Without Chris Mayne and Michael Walters, Fremantle must find a way to kick a winning score against the Bombers. Skipper Matthew Pavlich was a lone hand against the Hawks last Friday night, so Ross Lyon will be looking for strong games out of Hayden Ballantyne and Freo's other small and medium forwards that are selected to line up against Essendon.

Fremantle's injury list

Watch out for… how Essendon combat Aaron Sandilands in the ruck. With Patty Ryder still missing, defender Jake Carlisle and young forward Joe Daniher will look to do a similar job to the one they carried out against Carlton's Robert Warnock last week. It's a different ball game against Sandilands, however.
