Fremantle has featured heavily on the pages of Australia’s leading sports papers today.

The Age in Melbourne ran a story on Sydney veteran Jude Bolton, who said the pressure was on the home team in Saturday night’s prelim final at Patersons Stadium.

"We love travelling over there and the pressure is all on Fremantle in that sense, so it’s all good,” Bolton told AAP.

His Swans’ teammate Josh Kennedy also commented on Freo in the Sydney Morning Herald.

Kennedy said he knew Ross Lyon’s side was for real in the drawn game between the sides at the SCG earlier this season.

"Probably that last quarter when we played them earlier in the year, when we had the lead and they just piled on a few goals," he said.

The West includes a story on Carlton captain Marc Murphy, who has tipped Freo to win the flag.

"I reckon Fremantle are probably one of the better sides we've played this year, so I think Sydney will have a real challenge on their hands going over there playing on their home deck," Murphy said.

"They're just a very disciplined side and I think (coach) Ross Lyon has got them playing the way he's got his sides playing over the last 10 years - really disciplined footy and a type of contested style which suits finals footy."

Commentator Dennis Cometti is also on the Freo bandwagon. He thinks it will be a Freo-Hawthorn grand final.

“If the path to the grand final were a footrace I'd have the Dockers in front right now,” he wrote in his weekly column in The West.
