Fremantle ruckman Aaron Sandilands has been charged by the Match Review Panel with rough conduct against Ben Griffith’s in the third quarter of Freo’s NAB Challenge game on Friday.
The incident was assessed as careless conduct with medium impact and would carry a two-game suspension that could be reduced with an early guilty plea.
Sandilands has not missed a game due to suspension in his illustrious 239 game career, so no previous record will affect the penalty.
The club has until 8am WST to advise the AFL whether or not it will appeal the decision.
UPDATE (as at 8am WST Tuesday 23 February)
The club has sought and been granted an extension to consider its position on the Sandilands charge.
