Fremantle hopes to continue its fast starts this season against Richmond, a team that feeds off momentum, according to defender Michael Johnson.
Fremantle is averaging 4.5 goals in the first quarter this year and is conceeding an average of just 1.5 goals.
The run includes a mammoth nine-goal first term against West Coast in Round 3.
Learning from the best
Johnson, who is in line to play his 200th game on Friday night against Richmond, said he hoped the side would continue its fast starts.
“I hope we come out firing,” he said.
“That is our strength at the moment.”
Match day information
Johnson said scoreboard pressure early would be a key to beating an in-form Richmond.
“Hopefully, we catch them unaware,” he said.
“We’ve started games really well this year.”
Fremantle play Richmond at Domain Stadium on Friday 5 June. Bounce down is at 6.10pm.
