Nat Fyfe has been described as a ‘monster’, ‘beast’ and ‘man-mountain’ but the big midfielder says he hopes to continue building his body.
At just 23, Fyfe is an imposing figure at 190cm and about 90kg.
Fyfe has become well known for his body-on-body work through stoppages, contested marking and his ability to shrug tackles.
He said much of the result was thanks to Fremantle sports science manager Jason Weber and senior strength and conditioning coach Michael Dobbin.
“(They’ve) been a constant throughout my six years at the club,” he said.
“Particularly in the past 12 to 18 months, I’ve worked specifically with Jason Weber.
My thoughts are often with Morabito: Fyfe
“He’s crafted a program around my hips and legs, to make me a more dynamic player and have more strength around stoppages and contests.”
Fyfe said he continued to work on his body.
“The exciting part is that is an ongoing process and I’ve still got big gains to be made in that area,” he said
“I’m still developing physically and I’ve still got a long way to go.
“It’s a constant canvas of improvement.”
