Matthew Pavlich says there’s still scope for him to improve in 2015, and it’s based around his ability to work within the team’s forward structures.

The Fremantle legend will play his 16th year in the AFL this season, and while it may appear he’s maximised his potential in the league, he said there was always a way to get better.

“If you’re not looking to improve in this industry, you’re going to be found out really quickly,” Pavlich said.

The skipper said he had been working closely with the club’s forwards over the pre-season to enhance how the group functioned.

Fans should be proud, says Pavlich

“(We have) to ensure that up forward we’re really efficient, we use the ball well and we can score effectively,” Pavlich said.

“We’ve worked a little bit on our game plan in that regard, and clearly that’s where I can improve.”

Pavlich added it was a distinct possibility to see himself playing alongside young tall forwards Matt Taberner and Michael Apeness this season.

“We’ve normally gone with one or two plus the ruckman,” he said.

“Most teams have two, potentially three (tall forwards), and I think that’s what we’ll go with.

“We’ve trained together a lot throughout the pre-season. It’s highly possible.”
