Fremantle ruckman Aaron Sandilands assisted in a massive statistical domination during Sunday’s Carlton Draught Derby despite the team losing by 24 points to West Coast.

Joined by fellow ruckman Jonathon Griffin, the duo won the overall hit-out count 68 to 17 over West Coast’s Callum Sinclair and Scott Lycett contributing to Fremantle’s clearance win of 46 to 34.

Fremantle also finished with more kicks and handballs leading to a disposal difference of 335 to 316 as Stephen Hill and David Mundy finished with 28 disposals each.

Goal scorer Michael Walters ended the game with three marks inside 50 alongside captain Matthew Pavlich’s two grabs assisting in the teams 50 to 42 marks inside the forward arc.

Fremantle also led the tackle count 67 to West Coast’s 52, with David Mundy and Matt De Boer’s intensity leaving positives for the Freo Dockers heading into the 2015 finals series.
