Brisbane ruckman Stefan Martin may miss Sunday's match against Fremantle after recieving two-week suspension with an early plea for striking during the loss to Adelaide at the Gabba on Saturday.
The Match Review Panel found Martin used his elbow to strike the throat of Luke Brown during the second quarter of the narrow loss to the Crows.
The MRP found: “In summary, (Martin) can accept a two-match sanction with an early plea.
Match Day information: Fremantle v Brisbane
“Based on the video evidence available and a medical report from the Adelaide Crows Football Club, it was the view of the panel the incident should be classified as intentional conduct with medium impact to the head/neck.
“The offence was classified as a three-match sanction. The player has no applicable bad record. An early plea can reduce the penalty to a two-match sanction.”
The Brisbane Lions are considering what action to take in response to the charge.
