AFL national and international talent manager Kevin Sheehan has named Matthew Pavlich, Nat Fyfe and Hayden Ballantyne in his top 30 best-ever draft picks.
Sheehan revealed the list in the lead up to Tuesday’s NAB AFL Draft in Adelaide.
He said Matthew Pavlich as the best-ever number four draft pick.
Pavlich was taken in the 1999 draft and has since played 335 games for 669 goals.
Sheehan said Brownlow Medallist Nat Fyfe was the best-ever number 20 pick, after he was taken in the 2009 draft.
While Hayden Ballantyne was the best-ever pick 21, after he was drafted in 2008 and since become an All Australian.
St Kilda captain Nick Riewoldt (2000) earned the converted best-ever number one draft pick, pipping Hawthorn captain and four-time premiership player Luke Hodge (2001).
