Fremantle ruckman Aaron Sandilands has been voted in by his peers as one of the league’s top 50 players, at number 24.
Captain David Mundy has also made the top 50, coming in at number 29, up from 33 in 2015.
For the third consecutive year, AFL players have ranked the best 50 players in the league.
Players from all 18 clubs took part in the survey, with 90 players receiving at least one vote.
The count down will continue until Friday 18 March when the AFL's number one player – according to his peers – is revealed.

The strong-bodied veteran midfielder had one of his best seasons and was rewarded with All Australian honours for the first time. This year he takes over as captain from Matthew Pavlich. He was second at the Fremantle Dockers for contested possessions (303) and clearances (162). He averaged 26 disposals, polled 19 Brownlow Medal votes and kicked big goals at key moments, including the match-winner against Richmond in round 17.

Sandilands won the Fremantle Dockers’ best and fairest by beating Brownlow medallist Nat Fyfe. In 23 games, he racked up 998 hit-outs – the most of his career. He finished equal fourth in the AFL for contested marks with 46. The veteran continues to set a high benchmark and has signed a one-year deal for 2016. While his ranking may have dipped, his importance to Fremantle remains as high as ever.
