Ahead of the Fremantle Dockers game against North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium on Sunday, a few familiar names have staked a claim for senior selection after strong performances at the WAFL level.
For your chance to win, be sure to SELECT YOUR BEST 22 and if your team matches the Freo team selection, you'll go into the draw to win a signed Fremantle guernsey at the end of the season.
Before you pick your Best 22, here are some of the players who could receive the call for senior selection:
Hayden Crozier
Crozier put together his best performance of 2016 so far in Peel Thunder’s game against East Perth on Saturday. The Freo livewire finished with 30 disposals and three goals in the 30-point loss, but he wasn’t merely an attacking presence, as he also finished the game with a team high eight tackles.
Matt Taberner
Taberner has put together two solid performances in the WAFL following his omission from the senior squad after round one.
The key forward had 25 touches and two goals against Swan Districts in round three and followed that up with a 13 disposal, three goal game against East Perth on Saturday.
Jonathon Griffin
The injury to Aaron Sandilands has made Freo’s ruck depth all the more important. Griffin was on the cusp of selection against West Coast but has put his hand up for consideration after consecutive 36 hit out performances for Peel Thunder.
Talking points after West Coast loss
Jack Hannath
Hannath has played alongside Griffin in Peel’s last two games but before that was having no problem shouldering the ruck load at the WAFL level.
The 200cm big man had 11 touches, 15 hit outs and a goal against East Perth while sharing duties with Griffin, but had an impressive game as the sole ruckman in round two, with 56 hit outs against East Fremantle in round two.
Brady Grey
Grey continued to find the footy while playing in a defensive midfield capacity for Peel Thunder. The hard-nosed mid had had 19 disposals and seven tackles against East Perth on Saturday.
Darcy Tucker
Tucker has performed strongly in the WAFL, averaging 17 disposals and kicking two goals in his three appearances for Peel Thunder. The first-year player was recently selected as an emergency in Freo's round three game against West Coast.
