Fremantle midfielder Matt de Boer has been charged by the match review panel for engaging in rough conduct with Western Bullldogs on-baller Marcus Bontempelli.
The incident occurred in the third quarter of Freo’s win over the Bulldogs at Domain Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Peel set for home final
Based on available video evidence and a medical report from the Western Bulldogs, the incident was assessed as careless conduct with low impact to the head and was classified as a $1500 sanction.
As de Boer has no applicable record he is eligible to accept a $1000 fine with an early plea.
De Boer remains eligible for the WAFL finals with Peel Thunder, which begin on Saturday at Rushton Park.
