Aaron Sandilands and Lachie Neale will be two important inclusions to Fremantle’s 29-man squad for Saturday's JLT Community Series clash against Collingwood at Rushton Park.
2015 Doig Medallist Sandilands makes his returns from a calf injury, and 2016 Doig Medallist Neale comes in after undergoing three bouts of surgery in the off-season.
After showing promising signs in his 16th pre-season with Fremantle, Sandilands sustained a minor calf strain in late January, but has rehabilitated well to be available for selection.
Neale, who had surgery on his shoulder, wrist and knee in the off-season, trained as part of Fremantle’s rehabilitation group until mid-January with the hope of being ready for round one, and has trained well with few signs of being held back.
Tommy Sheridan and Matt Taberner come out of the Fremantle side that played against West Coast in the JLT Series opener in Geraldton last weekend.
Fremantle will name three emergency players from the squad on match-day.
