- Doig Medal previews: Fyfe | Walters | Johnson | Blakely
- Who will impress at the Draft Combine
- Indicative draft order: Post Grand Final
With the Doig Medal Presentation Dinner rapidly approaching, fremantlefc.com.au looks at which players are likely to fare well in Fremantle’s night of nights at the Crown Ballroom on Saturday 7 October.
Only Peter Mann (1995) and Troy Cook (2000) have won the Doig Medal in their first years at the club, and Bradley Hill could join them after the former Hawk produced an excellent debut season in Freo colours.
Hill joined his brother Stephen on the wings at Freo, and was one of four players to feature in all 22 games alongside Joel Hamling, Lachie Weller and Michael Johnson.
The 24-year-old’s best performance came against Freo’s win over Essendon in round seven, collecting 37 disposals, taking 16 marks and delivering six inside 50s.
Against Carlton, Hill provided one of the highlights of the year, with his spectacular running goal inspiring Freo in their comeback win in round nine.
Hill totalled 10,293 metres gained in 2017, the most for Freo, averaging 467 metres gained per game.
