Initial works towards the construction of a new Northern Stand at the SCG to replace the Noble, Bradman and Messenger Stands have commenced. The new Stand will provide new state of the art spectator facilities for SCG Members, Sydney Swans Members and AFL fans.

As a result of the works, the Noble, Bradman and Messenger Stands and their concourse seating areas are unavailable when the Swans play Fremantle in its opening SCG home game on Saturday, 7 April at 2.10pm.

Members and fans can only gain entry to the SCG via Gates A, B, C, D and E which are located off Driver Avenue.

The Paddington Lane entry to the SCG off Moore Park Road, Gates F and G, will be closed.

Access to the Members and Ladies Stands via Gate J at the Walk of Honour will also be closed on match days as this area forms part of the construction zone.

Fans who have purchased tickets to the O'Reilly Stand and O'Reilly Stand concourse areas, can enter the SCG via Gate E at the southern end of Driver Avenue.

To gain easy direct access to entry Gates A, B, C, D and E on Driver Avenue, the SCG Trust recommends fans used public transport to and from the SCG.

Regular buses will operate from Central Railway (Route 1 from 10.30am), Young St in the city (Route 3 from 11.00am), Goulburn St Car Park (Route 52 from 12noon) and Barker St at the University of NSW (Route 62 from 12noon) and will drop off fans at the Bus Loop Station outside the SCG, adjacent to Driver Avenue.

Return buses will operate on all four routes from full-time up until 6.00pm.

The Trust recommends fans pre-purchase their match tickets and plan their journey to the SCG to allow adequate time to enter the ground and occupy their seat prior to the first bounce at 2.10pm.

Tickets can be purchased from Ticketek on 132849 or at www.ticketek.com.au

The Trust appreciates the patience of Members and AFL fans during this construction period and looks forward to providing new improved facilities and extra seating capacity at the conclusion of the redevelopment.
