The Big issue is celebrating 20 years of providing life-changing opportunities for homeless and disadvantaged Australians.
To mark this momentous occasion, ambassadors Lee Spurr and Michael Barlow will hit the streets of Perth on Monday 20 June and distribute magazines with local vendors.
The duo will then join vendors, past and present, at a breakfast to celebrate this milestone.
The fortnightly magazine is sold to homeless, marginalised and disadvantaged vendors for $3.50 who then on-sell them for $7, keeping the difference.
“The Big Issue does fantastic work in giving the opportunity to these guys to make ends meet," said Barlow.
“It’s really heart-warming to see the work they do and the support they get as well.”
As part of the Fremantle Dockers Foundation Round, The Big Issue team will be selling the magazine after our clash against Port Adelaide on Saturday 18 June.
