Fremantle have finalised a trade with Collingwood, that will see midfielder Airlie Runnalls head back to her home state of Victoria to join the Pies.

Collingwood has given pick 45 to Fremantle as part of the deal.

Runnalls was selected at pick 44 in the 2021 AFLW Draft, debuted in round 1 of Season 6 (2022) and played 45 games for Fremantle.

An outside midfielder, Runnalls was a valuable member of the Freo family, who had averaged 13 disposals per game and kicked 5 goals across her time at the club.

AFLW List Manager Darryn Fry thanked Runnalls for her contribution to the Club over the past four seasons and wished her well as she heads to Collingwood.

“We wish Airlie all the very best for the next chapter in her football journey and thank her for contribution to our club over the past four seasons,” Fry said.

“Airlie will always be a part of the Freo family.”

The AFLW Trade Period opened on Thursday 5 December and closes Wednesday 11 December, 2pm WST.
