Fremantle are awaiting scan results for defender Tunisha Kikoak following an incident with her shoulder sustained during the third quarter of Sunday’s Week 3 clash with the Crows.
AFLW High Performance Manager Corey Morris gave an update on the young recruit.
“We are just waiting on scan results for her (Tunisha). She had a little episode of instability trying to lay a tackle, but we’ll assess once we get the scan results back,” Morris said.
Forward Tara Stribley will be a test to play this weekend, following an ankle concern she sustained during the scrimmage last Saturday.
“She (Tara) had a little incident in the scrimmage, but we expect her to be available this weekend,” Morris said.
Returning from a back injury sustained during pre-season, draftee Holly Ifould could be a chance to play as early as Week 4.
“She’s (Holly) progressed into some football across the last two weeks,” Morris said.
“We will look to build that this week, and then see her return to football hopefully next week.”
Morris said forward Serena Gibbs was tracking well with her knee, and is likely two weeks away from returning to play, following an MCL injury sustained during pre-season.
“She’s good – she’s stepped up her change of direction and we will integrate into a bit of football this week,” Morris said.
Forward Mikayla Morrison continues to progress with her knee injury, returning to run last week, however, a timeline for her return to play is still unclear.
“She returned to run last week, and we will look to integrate her into some football across this week as well,” Morris said.
