Zac Dawson will have pins removed from his broken thumb today and he may be available for selection this week.
Fremantle sports science manager Jason Weber said Dawson had been able to train while he was sidelined with the aid of a brace.
“He is seeing his surgeon today as to see how the hand has progressed,” he said.
“We’ll know more tomorrow.
“He’ll be in full training this week and we hope to get into a position where we can at least ask the question of getting him on the field.”
Forward Max Duffy will be sidelined for a number of weeks with a small calf strain.
Michael Johnson (hamstring) and Alex Silvagni (hamstring) remain on track with their recoveries.
