Fremantle will be without forward Michael Walters for Sunday’s clash with Port Adelaide due to a calf injury.
He is the only out at this stage, with Fremantle naming an extended squad of 26 players what will be narrowed to the final 22 on Friday afternoon.
There are five potential inclusions in the squad in Nathan Wilson, Travis Colyer, Tom Emmett, Bailey Banfield and last week’s substitute Neil Erasmus.
They have been named on the extended interchange alongside Karl Worner, Josh Corbett and Jaeger O’Meara.
Forwards Colyer, Emmett and Banfield loom as the possible replacements for Walters. If Emmett is selected, he will make his AFL debut after an impressive 13 games for Peel this season averaging 14.5 disposals, four marks and one goal per game.
Emmett was selected at no.41 in the 2022 NAB AFL Draft and is one of a handful of Fremantle players who have impressed Senior Coach Justin Longmuir at Peel.
“I want to make sure that we continue to reward the form and make sure that the players in the team playing their role are rewarded as well,” Longmuir said.
“Looking at the depth of our list, it really excites me. Some of the younger players at Peel and have taken massive steps forward with their footy this year, which is exciting.
“Whether that earns them a spot in the last two games, we'll wait and see.”
For retro round, Fremantle will wear the tri-panel anchor away strip worn from the 2001 to 2005 seasons.
Bouncedown for the clash is at 2.40pm and will be broadcast live into WA on Channel 7, Fox Footy and can be streamed on Kayo.
