Fremantle have added four players to their squad to face West Coast at Domain Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Ruckman Aaron Sandilands will return for his first match since injuring his ribs against the Eagles in round three, while Hayden Ballantyne, Ethan Hughes and Michael Apeness have also been included in the squad of 25.
Zac Dawson will miss the match after incurring a three-game suspension for rough conduct against Sydney’s Jake Lloyd.
Ballantyne has trained freely this week after suffering a facial fracture against Geelong three weeks ago, but may need to wear a protective helmet when he takes to the field on Sunday.
Match day information
Senior coach Ross Lyon said on Thursday that he expected the small forward to play with the same intensity and vigour that had defined his career.
Hughes, who last played for the senior side against Richmond in round 10, has been consistent for Peel since returning from a calf complaint.
The half-back positioned himself well in the contest and was precise with his ball use, on the way to 19 possessions and nine marks last Saturday.
Apeness was also impressive for Peel with five second-half goals but Lyon said the coaching staff were cautious of bringing him back prematurely.
Talking points ahead of Sunday
The 200cm forward, who recently signed a two-year contract extension, fractured his collarbone against Essendon in round 11.
He has played the last two matches in the WAFL and kicked seven goals.
The final 22 will be announced on Friday at 3pm WST.
