Tony Modra holds the record for the most goals in a game for Fremantle, and he did it against Melbourne. In round 10, 1999, Modra kicked 10 goals for Freo. Jeff Farmer also played in that game, kicking three for the Demons.

Fremantle have won seven consecutive games against Melbourne, stretching back to June, 2011.

Fremantle and Melbourne have met in a finals series only once: Freo came away 23 point winners on that occasion, beating the Demons 14.18.102 to 11.8.74 in the 2006 Semi-Final at Subiaco Oval.
